    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I’m relatively new to ArcGIS pro, and have been struggling with a particular analysis. &amp;nbsp;In short, &amp;nbsp;I need a way to save building shadows generated from the illumination settings in a scene layer (using absolute sun position at a specific az/el) as a saved layer that I can export as either a shape file or convert it to a kmz. &amp;nbsp;I’ve tried using the view shed tool to set an observer high in the sky at a similar angle as the sun, and I’ve tried the sun volume tool, but that can only be used for time of day and not a specific az/el. &amp;nbsp;neither of these options produced a particularly favorable result.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;is there any way to save off shadows produced from 3d buildings and illumination as a layer? Or possibly classify shadows using a pixel color detection and save that as a layer? Or, lastly, does anyone know of a custom tool that will allow this type of analysis. &amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
