Buffer size (side type full)

Dear Community,

I would like to buffer around a line feature - so far, so good.

Unfortunately, it is (also from the documentation) not entirely clear to me, how the buffer (when choosing side type 'full') is created around the line.

Take, for instance, my line with the buffer:

When I am choosing, let's say, buffer size 5m, will the buffer be 5m on each side or 5m all in all (2.5m on each side)?

Try the Measure (Distance) tool under the Map tab, Inquiry group to see.

It's 5 KM on each side of the line so technically 10 KM wide if you take into account the left and right side of the line.
