Edit feature failed

I am having issues with editing--or rather, deleting--points in Pro. Whether I open an existing project file, import a layer file either from my organization's online portal or from a newly packaged layer, and despite having no read-only or protective settings enabled, I get error messages when trying delete erroneous points. A pop-up window with the title "Delete Features" with a red x graphic and the text "Edit operation failed" appears, and the points do not get deleted. Attached is a screenshot.

My ArcGIS Pro version is 2.9.4, which is the most recent my organization allows.

I am accessing Pro on a Windows 10 Enterprise operating system (Dell Latitude 7410 laptop).

Any ideas on what I can do?

Are deletes allowed on the service itself? Some services can have specific permissions on them disallowing deletes.

Yes. My supervisor can delete points, and we are categorized as "Creators" equally within our permissions--though he has not switched over to ArcGIS Pro (he is working off ArcMap, which I no longer have access to).

What does List By Editing within the Contents pane show? Any warning badges?

What does the Editing Status window show? Any warnings, messages, etc?

Hi, Scott:

No warnings appear in the Contents Pane List by Editing window (as related to the layer in which I am attempting to delete points, at least). The Editing Status shows the layers that I cannot edit as such, but confirms no issues related to the layer in question. Thanks so much for the info, all the same. I will attempt to get Esri Tech Support on the line.

You could overwrite the layer and make sure that you allow to edit the service without m-value
