I am using instructions at Draw measured hatches along lines—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation) to draw a marker and label at a 500m interval along routes stored in an LRS Network created using ArcGIS Roads and Highways but this will apply to any polyline feature class which has measures that need labelled hatches to be displayed at intervals along them.

The polyline layer named Lrs_CQCN_TRACK_LR (500m) is symbolized using two symbol layers which are shape markers, and one of those includes a text element. The problem is that in the Contents pane the symbol patch beneath the layer name shows up as blank. This is to be expected because the polyline layer is not being symbolized using a Stroke layer.

Is there any way that I can make the symbol patch display the Shape marker (in this case a blue dot) instead?
