topic Advice for Summarizing Transit Stop Data onto Route Layer in ArcGIS Pro Questions

I am working on a project for my thesis. Basically, I'm trying to add attributes from transit stops onto a nearby transit route (separate layers). My issue is that stations can be found at different distances from each route.

I want to avoid adding false data (i.e. stations that are close to a route, but don't serve it), and so I'm uneasy about using a summarize nearby tool.

Any advice?
