ArcGis Pro crashes when converting Shapefiles to Cad

When I am going to convert shapefiles to Cad files so I can use that data in AutoCAD or any Cad reading software ArcGis Pro crashes at the point of conversion. Any suggestions

What release of ArcGIS Pro are you using? One thing to try is to convert your shapefiles a file geodatabase feature class. Then convert the fGDB FC to a *.dwg using the GP tool. Does ArcGIS Pro still crash? Please advise.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for your assistance here, the solution is to export the shapefiles to later versions of CAD like 2007 and up. When I tried versions 2000 to 2005 ArcGisPro crashed.
