A solution could include the proper order of adding Iterate Field Values iterator and the other model tools, when to run validate, when to save, and whether to run through the model in editing mode or through the dialog.</P><P>I have tried validate, re-adding the iterator, even running the iterator by itself with no other tools added on a valid feature class (text) and field (string), in a brand new Model and still it doesn't change the value of Value consistently. The only thing that works is if I re-open the whole project.
