I have a railway dataset. I am wanting to do route analysis on it but it fails to solve most of the time, because often there are many lines on one route. Is there a way to simplify the above into 1 line that is the average position of the 4 lines in the pic above? Like below

Thanks

I found the Merge Divided Road tool and tried to use it, but it didnt really work - it went haywire with the big train yards with 10+ tracks next to each other. I will try and find a simplified dataset - I did have one originally but it was a bit TOO simplified

If the two lines are next to each other cannot you mark them as having different directions.

Typically parallel rails are different directions.
