Converting Feature Class to Shapefile Issues

Hello Everyone,

My name is Krishna Tiwari and I'm currently trying to convert a feature class to a shapefile. When I convert the feature class to a shapefile, the field names in the attribute table are changed. For example, the newly created shapefile will have "Zip_Co" instead of "Zip_Code" as the field name in the attribute table. Has anyone come across this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Field name are limited to 10 characters is SHP files. If you use the GDB format this limitation will go away.
