Dissolve features based on attribute and a distance

I have a streets layers where the lines don't align. There are multiple features/rows for the same street and the lines are not connected (see picture for how they look). I want to connect these lines if they have the same name and I want to be able to specify the max distance to connect these lines. Is there a way to do this in ArcGIS?

Is there a way to do it? Yes! But whether or not there's a way to do it automatically is another matter.

For getting your features aligned, I would take a look at the Snap tool, or possibly Integrate. Are there circumstances where roads are misaligned and you would want them to remain that way?

Your post title suggests you'd like to take those connected lines and turn them into a single line feature based on an attribute. In that case, using Dissolve should be more than adequate, once your lines are connected.
