Buffer only around the edge city districts

My problem is that I want to cut green spaces to the individual city districts (Intersect). In doing so, I would like to set a tolerance area beyond the city limits via a buffer. This means that the buffer is to be added to the city districts on the edge of the city.

So far I have only managed to get a buffer drawn around each district.

Hi,

I am not sure I understand the problem correctly. From what I understand I can suggest a few starting points:

1. Buffer with a dissolve: When running the Buffer tool, you have the option to dissolve buffers based on a field or all together. This will give you one Buffer around all features.

2. If you don't want the features included, follow this up with the erase tool and erase the features from the buffer.

3. If the features (districts) are in separate feature classes, merge them into a single feature class first.

If this does not help. could you provide some more details and maybe pictures?
