Change Default Number Format Menu Settings

I was wondering if there was a way to preset the Number Format Menu to desired settings instead of doing it manually every time a field is created.

For example, here is how the default menu looks:

How can I preset it like so (i.e. with decimal places 0 and show thousands separators checked)?

Jared,

Saw the former which seems to be the CIM solution to the latter.

The latter has a better chance of getting some traction, BUT setting defaults for the field types would indeed be my preference.

On top of that, I would prefer to set default values for field types to get rid of the null stuff once and for all
