topic Make a Query Table for One to Many Join in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Hello! I'd like to create a time series animation/series of maps using data that is tied to ZCTAs (ZIPs). I have a feature layer of polygons for each ZIP and then I have a standalone table that has a series of demographic variables for each ZIP across 8 years. So, each ZIP entry has 8 entries in the demographic table that need to be joined to it. I'm trying to use the Make Query Table tool to accomplish this, however when I run that tool, I end up with a table that has millions of entries. It should be around 14,000 (I'm working just with the ZIPs in California). The SQL expression I'm using is 'Table1.ZCTAID' = 'Table2.ZCTAID' ... I'm fairly new to ArcGIS Pro and it's been about a year since I was using it frequently so I'm a little rusty. I appreciate any suggestions or pointers for where I can take this next. Please let me know if there is any additional information that I'm not putting here.

Thank you in advance for your help!
