ArcGIS Pro exporting EPS as bitmaps and not Vectors

I'm using ArcGIS Pro 2.2.2 to export my maps to EPS format and they are being rasterized. I have 2 line features (no transparency) and 1 point feature (simple shape maker solid color, no transparency) that I am attempting to export. No background, no additional design elements, no basemap.

Share | Export | Layout | EPS

Line feature (3.0 thick, no transparency)

Line feature (1.5 thick, no transparency)

Point feature (simple shape marker, solid color, no outline, no transparency)

When I use Share|Export|Layout|EPS --> I get a rasterized set of bitmaps, or "banding". These are strips of images and are not usable for what I am doing.

What I want is EPS vectors that I can control in either AI or Corel, preferably Corel.

I have used this export technique EXTENSIVELY in ArcGIS Desktop 10.X for years with success.

Anyone have any ideas?

What happens if you take the point file with the marker out?

Good eye! Unfortunately, removing the marker doesn't change the results (I had already tried that before I posted). I'm also currently getting some assistance from J. Wright (Esri ArcGIS Pro development team) and have sent them the Map Package to investigate. Fingers crossed.

Bumping this. I export map layouts as an EPS to be taken into Corel as well, and this method has worked for years from Desktop. We are migrating to PRO and the EPS' are being rasterized.

We need high quality EPS' that our designers can use in Corel to send to press. Has anyone out there found a solution/workaround for the rasterization issue? Other than going back to Desktop, that is....

I'm in the exact same situation. I'm now running ArcGIS Pro 2.4.1 and it still doesn't export correctly. Stuck using ArcGIS Desktop until they care enough to address this.

Export to EPS with VECTORS please!!!

I've experienced this problem with Pro 2.7.1 and 2.7.3. EPS does not contain vectors.

Holy cow, I can't believe this has been an issue for a couple years and not resolved. Yes, this is how we create smaller sized .pdfs that can be easily emailed. This is a major shortcoming!

I'm in 3.1.3 and this is still happening. I have a layout with only 2 layers and some text graphics, no transparency on anything. Whenever the point layer is on, the EPS converts to an image. If I turn off the points the other layer and text exports fine as vectors. I have tried all sorts of different point symbols, turned off outlines and halos, made as simple as possible but it converts to bitmap if that layer is on. Book publisher requires cmyk eps files as vectors so I'm forced to jump through all sorts of hoops to get this.

I just get a generic "Failed to Export" message with no help topic link after a few minutes anytime I try to export to EPS in Pro 3.1.1. I have no points or text, just lines, polygons and a hillshade. I've tried clipping to graphics and image compression options, no change. Frustrating!

Hello ArcGIS Pro team,

Is there any update on this issue? Our team is also experiencing this.

From my understanding of the documentation, .EPS files should be able to be visualized as vector files but when exporting they appear as raster.

If someone could dig into this, that would be great st this seems to be an issue since 2018.

Export the Layout as an SVG. When opening the exported SVG in an editing program like Adobe Illustrator, the contents of the map frame are vectorized if possible and elements are separated.
