Question: Edited a layer pack, but downloading layer pack for different use and gives me the same edits

Apologies if this is answered somewhere else but can't seem to find a straight answer

I was working off a layer pack for census tracts for USA

I merged a number of census tracts to get some neighborhood outlines

However, when I download the layer pack to use for a completely different project (so a different saved project in a different folder), it shows the census tracts I merged in the previous project.

I'm sure its something on my end i'm doing wrong

I downloaded the layer pack from searching arcgis online. I also went to the link on my a web browser and used the open in arcgis pro option but when it opens up, I still see the edits

Is there any way that I can use the original census tract file?

Any information or reference would be greatly appreciated
