Creating random points across a shapefile

I have a shapefile composed of multiple polygons(As Fig.1). I would like to sprinkle a specified number of random points throughout the whole shapefile not in each polygon of the class（as Fig.2 and Fig.2 is obtained using the parameters setting in Fig.3). I could only get 'create random points' to place a specified number of points in each poly gon of the shapefile, resulting in way too many points. Does anyone have a solution?

I have sovled the question,try to Dissolve (with or without multipart) the same attribute polygon and then Create Random Points.Thanks for everyone.
