Bookmarks are not showing up in Map Frame gallery.

I am using ArcGIS Pro 2.5.0. I am trying to make a new layout but my bookmarks are not showing up in the Map Frames Gallery. Only the default options are available and those are all blank when I insert them into the layout. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong are appreciated. Thanks!

Whenever I see strange issues like this in AGP, one solution that comes to mind is to rename the ESRI folder in your C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Roaming and C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Local directory to Esri_Old. This workflow resets all Esri applications back to factory settings. Somewhat of a dramatic measure but it does clear up strange AGP issues. Does the error persist?

I will give that a try. I am working from a class project file with pre-populated data. I tried creating bookmarks in another project and it worked just fine so it seems to be something specific to this particular project gdb and its contents. Thank you for the suggestion.
