My problem is I have the same folder names on different drives and scrolling though is tedious and confusing when you are in a hurry or very busy. ArcMap basically has ArcCatalog built in so paths are visible. I might post on Ideas to have a view option that allows paths to be shown, I'm sure they are saving that for a later release.
