Hi

Am trying to create layout for a map book series (10,000 maps) but having problems with adding a legend. As soon as I add a legend to the layout the CPU maxes out at 100% and ArcGIS pro is unresponsive and I end up having to close it using task manager. I have tried this on several PCs at work but same problem.

Has anyone experienced this and what is the solution. I can use data driven pages fine in ArcMap 10.4 without any issues.

TIA,

Mark

What are the specs of the computers you are using (I assume that they are all similar) and are other applications running at the same time (ie browsers, etc). Could be a size issue which could be confirmed by using a smaller sample size for testing or seeing whether you can tile the input into smaller batches
