Upgrading Annotation Feature class using Upgrade Dataset tool from ArcGIS Pro removes the Geometry from Annotation Feature class that was originally part of Personal Geodatabase. Is there a specific way to upgrade Annotation feature classes?

Originally this annotation feature class in question was part of Personal Geodatabase. I have followed the below steps to upgrade this annotation feature class (Not tied to any feature class)

1. Exported all the contents of the Personal GDB to an FGDB (Mostly Annotation Feature Classes)

2. Used the Update Annotation Feature class tool from ArcMap 10.8 to update all the annotation feature classes

3. As I was not able to see the annotation feature class properties from ArcGIS Pro, I ran the Upgrade Dataset tool from ArcGIS Pro.

This has fixed the issue with editing annotation feature class properties but the existing record's Geometry has been removed.Shape_Length and Shape_Area fields are reset to '0'

Am I missing any steps or this is a known issue?
