Anyone successfully created a web scene using a local elevation model?

I can't get my cached image service to display in a web scene. I've created it according to this tutorial:

I'm using contours to DEM then sharing the image service as a cached, consuming in arcgis pro and try to share. However the elevation model just draws as a giant hole in the ground.

Hi Leo,

Not sure if you ever solved this one, but I've been having issues getting a local elevation to work as well. The mistake I was making was that in Pro under Map Properties: Scene > Elevation Surface I was selecting Add New Surface rather than editing the Ground surface by selecting the Add elevation source button.

As for the big hole in the ground, I'm not sure. Different vertical datum maybe?
