Is there any way to set Esri basemap extents in the Layout View?

In other words, I have a set Extent for my operational Layers, and I'd like the basemap to conform to that.

But the 'Layout Frame' is larger than that and includes the Esri basemap.

Hi Craig,

I'm assuming that you want to set the extent of a Map Frame in which you have a map with only a basemap layer. You can set this extent in a number of ways. Here is a help topic that covers this topic - https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/layouts/customizing-your-map-extent.htm.

You can also create a bookmark of your are of interest and apply it to the Map Frame. You can also set a custom extent to your (basemap) map - see https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/properties/set-a-custom-full-extent.htm. When adding a Map Frame to a layout, the default extent used by the Map Frame is the custom full extent of the map.

Hmm, I guess I was just assuming that as the person who asked the question that you would be able to choose a correct response. Michelle Mathias‌ am I missing something here? Craig, for now I went ahead and marked Tom's answer. Cheers

Hi Craig, Per Kory's suggestion, you should have the ability to mark a post as correct, this doc shows you how you can do that:
