ArcGIS Pro Map and Layout Not Load

Hi Everyone,

I created a pro project, there is a map and layout. When I try to open it today, it just loading forever. I can open pro, but I just can't open this project. I have tried set the basemap to None, and clear the cache, but still not working.

Has anyone else seen this behavior - or have a solution?

Close Pro and rename the Esri folder to Esri_Old found here:

C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Roaming

C:\Users\<user profile>\AppData\Local directories

Hi Jin, definitely echoing what Matthew said above. Renaming the directories and restarting Pro is a good first step. Additionally, is there any difference in opening the project if you open it from within Pro versus navigating to the .aprx file in File Explorer and double-clicking?

Thank you Matthew. It seems it fix itself. I did nothing, but when I try to open it today, it works.

Thank you Nikolas. There was no difference open it directly or open within Pro. But it seems it just fix itself. When I try to open the project today, it works and I did nothing to it. Do you have any idea why this happens?

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to say that I was running into this issue, and renaming the folder fixed the issue.
