Vertical Alignment Settings Missing in Label Configuration

Hi,

I am working with ArcGIS Pro 3.6 and need to configure the Vertical Alignment property for map labels before converting them to an annotation feature class. However, I am unable to find or enable the Vertical Alignment option within the label properties. My objective is to control the vertical positioning of the text (for example, top, middle, or bottom alignment) so that the annotation is created with the desired appearance and requires minimal post-processing. Has anyone encountered this limitation in ArcGIS Pro 3.6, or is there a specific setting, labeling engine, or workflow required to enable Vertical Alignment prior to converting labels to annotation? Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.

Is this what you are referring to?

Caution:
The following text symbol properties are not used when labeling:

Angle—You can specify the orientation of labels through the label placement properties.

Vertical Alignment—The vertical alignment of labels is always bottom.

Horizontal Alignment (Maplex Label Engine only)—You can specify the horizontal alignment of labels through the placement properties.

In the Help documentation Text symbols | ArcGIS Pro documentation - it mentions "when labeling, you cannot set the vertical alignment; it is set by the label engine. Horizontal alignment can be set when using Standard Label Engine; it cannot be set when using Maplex Label Engine. When using Maplex Label Engine, it is configured using the Stack properties."
