I was able to get them back!

I'm still not exactly sure the cause - but we have experienced issues occasionally with other client computers if the graphics card was having problems (that would cause glitches with the basemaps). So here it what I did:

Cleared out all the caches in ArcGIS Pro > uninstalled ArcGIS Pro --> I didn't update the register files, just add/remove in Windows

Removed/reinstalled the GPU/Graphics Card driver on my computer - updated to the latest version on the graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070)

The Windows Device Manager will say the driver is up to date > so I installed the NVIDIA app and installed the latest version of the GPU driver (Gamer Ready version) from the NVIDIA app > Restarted the computer

Reinstalled ArcGIS Pro

All of the basemaps are back! I'm still not sure if it might have been a corrupted file in ArcGIS Pro, or if it was the graphics card - it may have also been a combination of both.

Is anyone else having issues with basemaps appearing in ArcGIS Pro?

The reference labels show up - but so far, I can't get any of the satellite-type imagery to show up in ArcGIS Pro, and the Oceans basemap doesn't work. Still checking the others, but some appear and some don't. It was working just fine yesterday, and we didn't do any changes to our network, so I'm not sure what to do about.

Tech support says the network, but I don't understand why some of the basemaps show up and other don't. And why the labels show up, but not the actual satellite imagery for it (?)

For some, it gives me an error like it can't find the pathname - on some of the basemaps it just doesn't appear in the list at all (nothing in the contents panel, it's just blank)

I am using the latest version of ArcGIS Pro.

basemap error.png

Update: It appears to be just my computer. It works on all the other computers - so definitely not a network issue. If anyone has any advice on other things to check, I welcome any recommendations. I literally can't access almost all the basemaps except for the labels......

Ive never had that happen. Have you tried any work arounds? Like logging into to your account and adding the esri basemaps via the arcgis online portal?

JamesPoeschel_0-1781792457217.png

Since it's just the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling, might fix the issue. You can try removing the cache first and restarting the computer itself before doing a hard uninstall of the software.
