Problem with EVI calculation using Sentinel 2A data

I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.5.0 I've got downloaded Sentinel 2A data, and I used raster calculator to calculate EVI. However, my results are outside of the -1 to 1 range, and the image it produces is very strange.

I use the code from ArcGIS Pro for the calculation of EVI. I had B2 as the blue band, B4 as the red band, and B8 as the NIR band. I based this code off of the general formula for EVI., which is.

However, when I enter this, I get a range of -3355 to 2370, and from the image I cannot differentiate anything.

Any advice on why this might be would be greatly appreciated.

To obtain an index result range of -1 to 1 the results have to be normalized or the equation itself setup to return the result in a -1 to 1 range. The equation does contain constraints to ensure this happens. That means the input bands are assumed to be normalized prior to use. See Dan's comments on how to do that.
