Include an option for Canadian spelling for units in Dynamic Text

I'm developing a set of company-wide map templates in ArcGIS 10.

I'm using Dynamic Text to automatically display Data Frame map units on the map (along with the coordinate system and datum).

The Dynamic Text automatically uses US spelling, e.g., "meters" or "kilometers". I need to use Canadian spelling, e.g., "metres" or "kilometres".
