I am amazed that ArcGIS does not support a USB device but requires a COM port connection. None of our company's computers have had a COM port for about the last 5 years. When I queried ESRI UK I was told to google for a suitable virtual COM driver for my system - not much help there really! Come on ESRI - catch up please!
