idea Selecting multiple fields causes view to jump in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

In fields view, when I control click multiple fields, the view jumps to include the majority of the selected fields.

Imagine you have 10 fields, and you select 7-9 and then scroll up to select 2. Immediately after clicking on field 2, the view shifts to show fields 7-9 selected. If you scroll up, you find that field 2 is selected. This is annoying.

I expanded the field view and determined that no matter the window size, this behavior manifests itself whenever selecting a field not in view of the other selected fields.

I'm running pro 2.3 but this behavior has been around at least a year.
