A lot of times I need to build custom tables for a map layout. It would be so much easier if I could just make one row off the page then clone it while making the table with arcpy. As it stands I have to create each element of the row off the page, then clone each element and move each one individually onto the layout. Not fun. In case you are like me and you think "This must be possible.
