Time Slider Working for Non-Time Fields

Can the Time-aware functionality work with non-time fields. For example, I work with depths a lot. It would be nice to use the slider to cycle through depths, etc. Right now I can do it, but the labels get goofy.

Yes, I agree. The time slider is also very useful for visualising other sequenced variables.
It should be opened up to include not only date/time based data but actually any number sequence in the data. This applies also to the variable display settings which currently restrict it to only dates/times.

This is a very old idea for ArcMap so I'll set this to Closed, but want to point out that the range slider in ArcGIS Pro is designed to meet this request: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/range/get-started-with-the-range-slider.htm
