Symbol Layer Drawing Order Default

This seems like such a fundamental request, but I can't find any other posts asking for it. Apologies if it's been asked.

In most scenarios where a layer's numeric field is symbolized by graduated colors or graduated symbols, it's the high values that are most significant, yet the default drawing order is smallest on top and largest below. Can we have a check box that allows 'Switch Order' please?

I think graduated colors & symbols has it, if you go into the dropdownlist in more-> reverse values. It could be more consistend with how it is solved for raster. It does not exist for unique values.

I just realize that you write default, and I answered on general how to order. I cannot find how to remove my previous answer.
