idea Modify User Type for licensed users in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

It would be nice to give administrators the ability to adjust the user type for licensed users. There are times when an employee is going through a training, is assigned temporary duties, or is promoted to new position where they may require temporary access to a higher license level.

As an example, there is currently no efficient method to temporary "demote" User 1 from the Professional User Type, and "promote" User 2 from the Creator User Type - essentially swapping their privileges.

After a conversation with tech support, the only ways to accomplish this are:

1. Delete User 1 from your organization to free up the higher license and assign User 2 to that open slot. You then have to add the deleted user back at the now vacant lower license level.

2. Purchase an unused license (in this example at the Creator User Type level) and move User 1 into that unused slot allowing you to promote User 2 to the Professional slot.

In the example above, it would be much more efficient to allow the Organization Administrator to demote the Professional license level to the Creator level and then promote the other user from the lower license to the now vacant higher level.
