Reorder Fields through Attribute Pane

When editing or reviewing attribute data, I use the attribute pane A LOT (more than the attribute table). It would be super convenient if the attribute pane had the ability to reorder fields directly in the interface as opposed to opening up the attribute table or fields view. Scrolling down the attribute list in the pane to check specific fields gets old, especially since placement resets upon clearing selection. A simply drag and drop reorder would be greatly appreciated!

I tried out reordering (by drag and drop) and freezing fields in the Attribute table and observed that the Attribute pane grid honors this field ordering through selection changes and closing and reopening Pro.

Can you elaborate on your workflow and how field ordering set in the table or fields view is not persisting with selection changes? Perhaps you are referring to the vertical scrollbar resetting its position.

Also, which version of ArcGIS Pro are you using?

I'm on 3.3.0 (not able to update presently due to org requirements). My issue is not with reordering in the attribute table. I know that the attribute table and attribute pane field orders are linked. I would like the ability to drag and drop field order in the vertical attribute pane instead of the attribute table.

Your scrollbar assumption is correct. The vertical scrollbar position in the attribute pane resets whenever selection is cleared. This paired with field ordering limitations in the attribute pane cause headaches when QC'ing data. It's not a major performance issue, but it would provide some efficiencies to be able to reorder directly in the attribute pane. The horizontal configuration of the attribute table fields is annoying to deal with when looking at long schemas.

Just in case you, or others, are not aware, the attribute pane has a splitter to adjust the size of the grid and switch from vertical to horizontal layout.
