In ArcGIS Pro the group layers needs an improvement:

On the table of contents when right clicking on a layer there should be an option to "add to group layer". In this menu there will be an option to select which group layer it should be added to

Took a look at the other idea, and while its similar its not exactly what I'm looking for.
