idea Georeference using lines or polygons as control points in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

When georeferencing imagery such as site plans (or even aerial imagery from different dates/sources), it is not always possible to find specific points that can be matched exactly between the source and target visuals. In many cases, users can achieve more accurate results by matching the approximate centers of polygons (or lines). Instead of having to estimate the approximate centers, it could be beneficial to have the option to trace a polygon or line on the image and on the reference layer and have the centers of those polygons/lines matched up for georeferencing!

Jonah,
The Georeferencing tool allows you to include as many points as you want. In this example I added 5 points.
[cid:image003.png@01DBC89A.EC1C7B90]
I hope that helps
