Zonal Statistics As Table: Create Output Join Layer as Feature Class/SHP

Right now if you complete the optional 'Output Join Layer' parameter, you don't get a real output. You get a mysterious layer type in your map that has no spatial reference and points to the output table as its source--not a feature class. Further, Error 000210 is generated when doing data > export features. This would be really useful if it did create a feature class, though. It would save the manual joining steps.

Hi wayfaringrob, thanks for reaching out!
If the 'Output Join Layer' parameter is specified, the Zonal Statistics as Table tool will create a layer by joining the output table to the input zone data.

Therefore, the data source property of this output layer is expected to be same as that of the input zone.
If your zone is a raster, the 'Output Join Layer' will be a raster.
If your zone is a feature, the 'Output Join Layer' will be a feature.
You should also be able to save this layer on disc.

In this test case, can you please confirm if the zone data has valid spatial reference?

@SarmisthaChatterjee sorry, wasn't alerted to your reply. Are you asking if the input feature class is projected? Yes, it's projected.
