idea Nesting layout elements in Contents pane without grouping in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

I would like to be able to create nested lists in the Contents pane of elements present in a layout without grouping elements in the layout, so that they can still move and be selected individually directly from the layout.

When working in ArcGIS Pro with complex layouts made of many different elements (text boxes, lines, shapes, logos, etc), there is no way to organise the endless list of elements in the Contents pane without also grouping them in the Layout (i.e., when grouped, they move as one in the layout). We have a setup whereby we often need to modify some of the Layout elements (e.g., change text in a textbox), so I don't want to have to spend my time ungrouping everything to get to what I want (or repetitively clicking in the layout to activate elements inside a group), I just want a tidier Contents pane to more easily organise all the bits I'm working with. Just like I can group layers in the Contents pane of a map without actually merging the features themselves.

I do think this is a good idea, but also for clarity: have you tried using the contents pane to access that item directly?
