idea Nibble Geoprocessing Tool - check raster type in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

The Nibble geoprocessing tool only works on Integer and Float types. If you pass it a raster of Double type (thinking it was a Float, or not knowing that constraint at all), the tool will fail with a generic error code 999999. It would be useful to validate the input raster type before running the tool, or to at least return a more specific error.

Hello Brennan.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I am working with the Developer to improve this tool's handling of this input type.

Thanks,
Juan Laguna
Spatial Analyst Team

Because unhandled exceptions (999999 errors) are treated as bugs, we are closing this idea. As @JuanLaguna indicated, we will improve the handling of this error through the issue that we've logged as BUG-000167399.

Thank you
