idea Attribute table field headers — Insert line break at period to separate table name from field name in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

ArcGIS Pro 3.2.1

It's handy that long field names get word-wrapped into multi-line field headers.

I'm wondering if we could build on that by automatically inserting a line break at the period in cases where the table name is prefixed to the field name (like in a join). That would make such field names easier to read. And the fields could be narrower, taking up less space.

Like this:

I can do that manually by adjusting the field width so it word-wraps at the period. But that's fiddly and doesn't work perfectly when the field name is longer than the table name.

For example, species_records.t_common_na... gets truncated. If there were a true line break at the period, then the field width wouldn't need to be so narrow as to cut off the field name.
