Make it easier to update vector tiles from ArcGIS Pro

Hello,

I would like an easier way to update hosted vector tiles directly from ArcGIS Pro, or through model builder.

Background:

ArcGIS Pro has an excellent function that allows us to share maps as a feature layer and vector tile using "Share as Web Layer." ArcGIS Pro also has a "Overwrite Web Layer" tool that allows us to replace a web layer. Unfortunately this tool only works for hosted feature services and not hosted vector tiles layers.

I was refereed to a 3rd party script which can update vector tile packages, but it cannot update hosted tile layers - apparently there is a difference between the two.

Requested Resolution:

1) Include the ability to update vector tiles using "Overwrite Web Layer"

2) Please provide a model or python script that can overwrite vector tiles.

3) Please clear up the relationship between Vector Tile Package and Tile Layer (Hosted)

I apologize,it looks like this tool can only update vector tiles with other vector tiles. What is the best workflow to update vector tiles using a ArcGIS Pro Map as the source dataset?
