Legend synchronize with map - Layer order should be turned on by default

I'm not sure why Layer order is unchecked in the Synchronize With Map section in Legend properties. I'd think most of the time you'd want the layer order synched with your map. Please check it on by default.

I agree this is definitely a personal preference and would prefer to leave it alone. If we changed it we would have to be extremely careful not to affect existing projects / layouts.

I did not say anything about changing anyone's existing projects / layouts. I was talking about by default having that setting checked on - like whenever you create a new layout.

Hi,

This is available! In ArcGIS Pro 2.9 we added legend styles. You can save a default legend style with this and any other options turned on or off as desired.
