idea Arcpy Access to Map Series Export Progress in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

Currently, a map series has the method 'exportToPDF' which allows a script to export a map series layout with various options. When performing this action using the ArcGIS Pro GUI, the interface provides a count of pages exported, thereby informing the user of progress. This is very helpful for large exports to know how soon the export will finish.

This progress functionality is not easily replicable using arcpy and the user will not know the status of the export when using this method. A work around to export individual PDFs that are them combined would work, but it would be fantastic if the method could update the progressor in some fashion to provide an equivalent functionality to the GUI.
