Change User Experience for Select By Attributes

When using the Select by Attributes command, I am annoyed by always having to click New expression. In fact, I see no reason why you couldn't just eliminate it altogether and default to the Create a new expression option where you use pull-down menus to build your query. If you want to use SQL, there is a slider. If you want to load an expression, there is a load option. So, what is the point of this button? To me, there is no value added and just time wasted.

The Select by Attributes user experience was changed in ArcGIS Pro 2.9 based on this request.
