idea Geofence ArcGIS World Geocoding Service in ArcGIS Pro Ideas

I would like to geographically limit the results of the ArcGIS World Geocoding Service which is used by default in the ArcGIS Pro Locate tool. This will help the locator service provide quicker results as it would not suggest any candidates outside of our area of interest.

Re: Geofence ArcGIS World Geocoding Service - Status changed to: Already Offered

Hi @MarkVolz

It is possible to create a Locator View from the World Geocoding Service and consume that in ArcGIS Pro.

See https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/analytics/analytics/customize-your-geocoding-experience-with-locator-views/

I just did a quick test. I created a locator view called Redlands Locator View in ArcGIS Online. I set the extent just to the Redlands area:

And I can then add that to Pro and use it!

I think that should do what you're asking for this idea, but if not, let us know.
