Add or remove a field in database, mxd&nbsp;is automatic updated&nbsp;. But if you update aliases in database there is no method to update your mxd, you have to do it manual.<BR /><BR />It should be nice to&nbsp;have all these option in Customize -&nbsp;ArcMap Options - Layer (new tab).
