topic Connection lines creating new vertices when crossing over other features in ArcGIS Parcel Fabric Questions

Hi All,

I'm trying to use the Move tool to use the Parcel Fabric geodatabase default topology rules to move the existing connected parcels onto my new traversed work (moving point 1 to 2 in snip below). When I attempt this, there is an invisible anchor that holds the horizontal road parcel in place. The connection lines seem to create extra vertices at the location it crosses adjacent parcels and for both their lines and polygons. After deleting the vertices off both these, still the connection line seems to anchor down on the lines that it crosses and not allow the move to occur. How can this be stopped? Connection lines out to Survey Control are always going to pass over adjacent parcels in our fabric, but we still need to be able to use the Move tool to fit exiting parcels to new plotted work. Any feedback appreciated, thanks! 🙂

Zoomed in and trying to move point 1 to 2:

Result:

Snip of line that is anchored to where dashed connection line crosses it:

Hi @BryanJohnstone,

First a quick note that for ArcGIS Pro 3.4 to be released later this year, there will be an enhancement to the Move tool that will address this workflow. We will introduce this in the What's New Parcel Fabric Meetup in November.

There are a few other approaches to try:

The Merge Points tool

Align Features tool, using the setting "Snap line ends to path"

Align Parcels tool

Note there is related information and discussion at this post.
