@JDOverton We are currently in 3.1. Basically, we could select an existing parcel, click edit vertices, and in the GOGO window, load it as a sketch. This would populate the bearings and distances of the existing feature. This is not an option we have found in Pro. Currently in Pro, we would have to COGO the entire parcel from scratch, where previously I could just edit the traverses imported.

Why does Traverse in ArcGIS Pro behave differently it does in ArcMap?

First, entering a negative number for radius makes no sense mathematically.

The below screenshot shows the traverse commands from ArcMap on the left, then from ArcGIS Pro on the right hand side of the screen. The thin green line is produced from ArcMap which is correct. The thick dark green line is produced from ArcGIS Pro. The first curve is incorrect, that does not look like N 18-51-45 W at all, then the curve going south isn't correct either. The green lines are a feature class in a SDE Geodatabase.

The Traverse in Pro allows you to enter overrides such as Chord Bearing, but you use keystrokes instead of using pick lists like you see in ArcMap. Try entering "N18-51-45W cb" in for the Direction on your curves and think you will get the expected result as it tells the traverse tool you are using a chord bearing override.

Here is a link to the Traverse Data entry shortcuts that give examples of entering courses and keystrokes for overrides and the grid field to use them in.
https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/editing/enter-a-traverse.htm#GUID-5B9D1444-2C4D-4571-9A28-614F8C29755C

While not the exactly the same, when you have the ArcGIS Pro Trace Tool active, you can actually use the Trace Lines (above the grid for courses) to trace line features in the map and populate the traverse tool grid with courses. Granted the assumption here is that since you are using the Traverse tool, you are intending to create 2-point lines as the output, so you already have COGO lines feature class/layer in the map you are editing to trace.

If you select Lines before using this Trace option AND they have COGO attributes it will bring those into the traverse grid. If the Lines do not have COGO attributes, it will inverse the direction/distances from the geometry.

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/create-a-traverse.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_08880D70C629456C8085E727047700B1

Thanks for the response! This does not work very well for us. The trace option is kind of clunky for us and does not trace all lines that are connected each segment would need to be traced separately, and this isn't effective. Do you know if there are plans in the future to bring back the option to load from sketch?

Just my 2 cents: I've found that when use the trace tool and it doesn't want to continue on to the next line, there is usually a really small gap between the lines that I'm trying to trace.
