<title>idea Improve DMS Coordinate Entry Format Consistency in ArcGIS Parcel Fabric Ideas</title>
    <link>https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-parcel-fabric-ideas/improve-dms-coordinate-entry-format-consistency/idi-p/1474817</link>
<description>&lt;P&gt;Different tools want degree minutes seconds entered in different formats. Some want spaces between them (edit vertices), some want dashes (traverse tool). It means that when I open a tool I often enter it in the wrong format, it rejects it or only takes part of the entry. Which means I then have to reenter it again in the correct format. This also creates a potential for having incorrect data if I don't notice that DMS entry wasn't accepted correctly. It would be nice if anywhere that accepts a DMS entry (coordinates and azimuths/bearings) expected the same DMS format.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
