Basemap Thumbnails not displaying

Hi GeoNet Community,

I have created a web map app using the ‘out of the box’ dashboard theme. I have added the basemap gallery as a widget and all appears fine.

However when I launch the application and click on the basemap gallery my thumbnails do not display. I can change the basemap but cannot see the thumbnails.

I have attached some screenshots of this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What errors are shown in the browsers web console?

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply. There are no error messages it basically displays the basemap gallery without the thumbnails. I have logged this with Esri Australia Support lets see what they come back with. I will let you know.

Chris,

What about a 40x response in your browsers network tab for the thumbnails? What is the url that it is attempting to use for the thumbnail?

Did ESRI Australia ever get back to you on the thumbnails? I don't know if your situation was the same as mine, but in my case, I built a WAB app, which I then shared to another AGO org. When they launched the app, the thumbnails in the basemap gallery were referring to the images from <ourdomain.maps.arcgis.com> versus the URL of the app with a different doman. In essence, it didn't have access to the thumbnail images since they were initially loaded from the original domain, which is referenced in the URL to that image.
